Bad day yesterday, well and truly run over by the reality truck :-( However, after a reasonable amount of sleep, in comparison to the 4
-5 hours I have been getting over the last week, I feel much better this
morning. Back to feeling in control of
the situation again. There were tears
and tantrums a plenty yesterday but thankfully back to the love today. I’ve had more lovely messages of support and
people offering to help in any way they can.
My Mum is coming down by train from Edinburgh today so she will come
with me tomorrow for the pre-chemo stuff and will also come for my chemo
session on Friday. Hair will get cut
Thursday sometime – need to find someone brave enough to do it for me, not sure
I trust Adrian or my Mum (sorry guys!).
Still undecided on cold-cap but it needs cut either way.
At 12 o’clock I’m off for my ‘tour’ around the chemo ward
and to find out about....stuff...!!! I’ll
fill you in later when I know! For now I’m
off to White Stuff to spend my Birthday voucher from my brother and find me
something fabulous to wear to cheer me up :-)))
Hope you have success in your shopping, we are all thinking about you and love you lots. Please let us know if we can help. From all at Cuckoo Nest
ReplyDeleteThanks, it was, very lovely, comfy socks and leggings bought, and perhaps a few other things that I didn't actually NEED! :-)
DeleteDefinitely don't let Mum do it. At least you are going to save a lot of money on Paul Mitchell products. You could just shave it all off straight away, then you don't need to bother about it any more. Just buy lots of hats. Hope you found something nice at white stuff. Love you. Matthew
ReplyDeleteGot a lovely Green dress Matt, thanks, and a lot of other things I didn't intend to buy.....ooops!
Deletehi Jen, a tiny talk teacher here, I was a hairdresser before TT and I had the honour of cutting off a ladies hair as she was going through chemo, earlier on in the day I had an arts student in who asked for some hair for an art project......guess whose hair was used! best wishes xx (her poker straight hair came back curly and a different colour! )
ReplyDeleteMany fears are born of fatigue and loneliness! Sleep as much as you can and surround yourself with love :)
